GLAZE COLOR SERIES

We create specially formulated, museum-quality glazes to enhance both the boldness and subtleties of our handmade ceramic tiles. We are always developing new colors, glazes and techniques by experimenting with the fire, elements and materials.

We use artistic techniques in making our tiles and all of our glaze colors are available on all tiles for maximum customization. Due to the nature of the handcrafted production and raw materials used for art tile, some variations in size, color and shade is not only expected but will enhance the unique beauty of the finished installation.

 
 
 

Natural Series

Calming and down-to-earth neutral-toned glazes break on the relief pattern and flow around the edges of the clay body, creating a subtle tone-on-tone effect that underscores the strength of the carved design. Layered Series

A warm white, ivory, buttermilk or ochre, highlights the raised areas of the tile, contrasting with a wash of color that fills the carved portions. A selection of 11 jewel-toned glossy colors add richness to the patterns of decorative tile and produce a radiant finish on field tile. Variations in the depth of the glaze, characteristic of hand application, enhance the beauty of the tile. Where glaze is thickest, the colors deepen and intensify. Inspired by the terra cotta tradition of southern France, our Rouge Series features a warm washed palette that pairs well in rooms with brick, cabinetry and earthy accents. Matte Series

Our palette of 12 matte glaze colors have natural variations that highlight the tile design. These glazes create a smooth, matte surface on the raised areas, and a rich crystalline finish in the recessed areas where the glaze thickens.
